ENQUIRIES & HOW TO BOOK

Ready to get some new ink? Here’s everything you need to know to get started.

Share Your Idea

Drop me a message with all the key details so we can start designing your tattoo together. Please include:

  • Size – in centimetres or inches

  • Placement – left or right side helps!

  • Colour preferences – colour or black and grey?

  • Design ideas or reference images – the more the better

Thinking of covering up or reworking an old tattoo? A clear photo of the area will really help us plan the best approach.

Get Your Quote

Once we’ve discussed your design, I’ll give you a personalised quote and let you know my availability. I usually post weekly availability updates on my Instagram and Facebook stories, so keep an eye there too.

Confirm with a Deposit

Your booking is only confirmed once a deposit is received. This is usually 50% of the total cost, but may vary depending on your quote. No deposit means no appointment in the diary – so be sure to secure your spot!

If you’ve got questions or need help shaping your idea, just get in touch – I’m always happy to chat about your design.

APPOINTMENT INFO & STUDIO GUIDELINES

Here’s everything you need to know before your tattoo appointment – take a minute to read through it so your session runs smoothly.

Studio Location

You’ll find me at Blue Cardinal Tattoo, 11 Halifax Road, Todmorden, OL14 5AG. There are two public car parks close by, so if it’s your first visit, aim to arrive early to give yourself time to find the studio. Make sure you plan your route in advance – if you turn up at the wrong place, I won’t be able to rearrange your session.

Arrival Time

Please arrive 10 minutes early to fill out a short form. This helps me stay on track with bookings throughout the day.

Deposits & Rescheduling

All deposits are non-refundable. You can reschedule your appointment once, as long as you give at least 72 hours’ notice. If I need to reschedule for any reason, I’ll offer the nearest suitable alternative – and in that case, your deposit will be refunded if you can’t make the new time.

Lateness Policy

There’s a 15-minute grace period. If you’re running late, let me know as soon as you can. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late without contacting me, your deposit will be lost, and a new full deposit will be needed to rebook. If I’m still able to tattoo you on the day, any lost time will count towards your session length and price.

ID Requirements

You must bring valid photo ID – no exceptions. This is a legal requirement. Without ID, I won’t be able to tattoo you, and your deposit will be retained.

Bringing a Chaperone

You’re welcome to bring one chaperone. They may need to wait in reception or leave if the studio’s at full capacity, to make room for other clients.

Design Prep

Your tattoo design will be prepped on the day of your appointment, unless we’ve made other arrangements in advance.

Food & Drink

Make sure you’ve had something to eat before your appointment – turning up on an empty stomach can make the session tougher on your body. Bring along drinks, snacks, and if you’re booked in for a long session, bring some lunch to keep your energy up throughout the day. You’re welcome to take breaks when you need them – staying fuelled helps you stay comfy and makes the whole process smoother.

What to Wear

Choose comfortable clothing that makes it easy to access the area you’re getting tattooed. Think loose, stretchy, or something you don’t mind adjusting or removing if needed. Not sure what’s best for your placement? Drop me a message – I’ll help you figure it out.

Skin & Health Guidelines

I can’t tattoo over sunburn, cuts, bruises, or damaged skin, or anyone under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs If you arrive in any of these conditions, we’ll have to cancel your session, and your deposit will be forfeited. Not sure about a skin condition or anything else health-related? Just ask before your appointment – I’m happy to chat it through.

Equipment Limit

My equipment has a weight limit of 20 stone (127 kg). If you think this may be a factor for a bed-based tattoo, let me know ahead of time so I can make sure you’re comfortable and properly supported.

If you’re unsure about anything or have any questions, don't hesitate to give me a shout!

AFTERCARE

To ensure the best results and minimal complications for your tattoo's healing, follow these steps.

If your tattoo is wrapped in cling film:

  • Remove the cling film after 2-3 hours. Wounds need to breathe to heal properly.

  • Wash your hands thoroughly.

  • Gently wash the tattoo with a mild antibacterial soap and warm water. Make sure to remove all traces of blood and plasma to prevent scabbing. Do NOT scrub your tattoo.

  • Pat it dry with a clean paper towel and let it air dry until your skin feels a little tight.

  • Apply a very thin layer of recommended tattoo aftercare cream – just enough to make it shiny!

  • Re-wrap your tattoo for the first two nights of healing. Before re-wrapping, thoroughly wash the area and do NOT apply any cream overnight, as this can trap dirt.

  • Repeat this cleaning and moisturizing routine twice a day for 2 weeks. After that, continue to use a general moisturiser.

Things to AVOID:

  • Swimming, hot tubs, or baths for 2 weeks.

  • Hydrogen peroxide or rubbing alcohol on your tattoo.

  • Itching, picking, or scratching your tattoo.

  • Activities that make you sweat for a week.

  • Sunbeds, sunbathing, fake tan, or body glitter for a week.

Things to DO:

  • Stay out of direct sun until your tattoo is completely healed.

  • Apply sunblock to your healed tattoo whenever it's exposed to the sun.

  • Enjoy your new tattoo!

If you’ve got questions or need help shaping your idea, just get in touch – I’m always happy to chat about your design.
